Anthony is a senior leader with extensive experience as a manager in the Education and the VCSE sector. He has experience providing a range of support in mental health/wellbeing and in supporting large scale services in this capacity.

Abimbola is a stakeholder and community manager with the NHS. She is a mental health and therapy advocate with extensive experience working in the charity sector and with senior leadership teams.

Emmanuel is a business consultant with experience in community, education and youth work. He has experience mentoring and working with ex offenders, those suffering with mental illness and hard to reach groups across the United Kingdom.

Patron

David Weaver is the former President of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He has played a key role in BACP’s drive to embed social justice as a core principle / aspect of its work and strongly advocates the relevance of the counselling professions for ‘ordinary diverse people and communities’.

Chief Executive

Kunlé is the founder of
The Empowerment Group. He is a community leader and mental health advocate with depth of experience in the mental health and charity sector. He has experience working with reputable national charities in the area of leadership, management, fundraising, project management and project delivery.

Digital Communications

Esther is a Digital Communications specialist with experience working with reputable companies, local councils, start ups and established businesses both in the UK and internationally.

Operations Manager

Niasha oversees the administration at The Empowerment Group. She brings a wealth of experience to support the day to day running of the organisation.

All of our therapists are qualified and registered with The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). They specialise in a range of methodologies and approaches and have an extensive depth of experiences in the sector.
